Farthest North is a collaboration with Claudia O'Steen

inspired by S.A. Andreé's Balloon Expedition of 1897. An engineer and pioneer in aerial photography/aviation, S.A. Andreé and his companions Nils Strindberg and Knut Fraenkel attempted to fly to the north pole in a silk hydrogen balloon. Shortly after departing Virgohamna, a harbor in the archipelago of Svalbard, their navigational system failed. Their remains were found over 30 years later on Kvitoya. Their cameras contained film that presents a ghostly and mysterious picture of the three men's struggle to survive.
